London debut for 2012 BMW Motorrad range at the Carole Nash MCN Motorcycle Show:

Updated S 1000 RR, C-series maxi-scooters and World of BMW on offer at the Excel Centre.

BMW Motorrad will be bringing a selection of its 2012 bikes, BMW Rider Equipment and riders from the Buildbase BMW Motorrad British Superbike and Superstock 1000 team to the Carole Nash MCN Motorcycle Show, being held at the Excel Centre in London Docklands from 02-05 February.

The all-new BMW C 600 Sport and C 650 GT maxi-scooters will take centre stage. These nimble and very capable alternatives for urban mobility combine a frugal, yet punchy, parallel twin motor with smooth CVT transmission and outstanding practical touches, including generous storage space, year-round weather protection and integrated ABS.

The stunning 2012 BMW S 1000 RR will also be making its London debut. The new 193bhp RR has a refined electronics package, an improved midrange, restyled bodywork and revised suspension, making it even more agile. The new K 1300 S HP, featuring a range of stunning High Performance parts and accessories, will join the revised F 800 R dynamic roadster and the special-edition K 1300 R Carbon on the stand.

The unstoppable BMW GS range is being further expanded in 2012, with six new models being introduced: the new single-cylinder G 650 GS Sertão, a consummate lightweight off-road adventure bike; the retro-inspired R 1200 GS Rallye, with its classic Dakar Racer paint scheme; the subtle new R 1200 GS Adventure Triple Black; the striking new blue and white F 800 GS Trophy and the tasteful F 800 GS Triple Black special editions. The final addition is the tasteful F 650 GS Special Edition.

In addition, the World of BMW team will be on hand to offer advice and information on 2012’s incredible range of events, courses and tours. Visitors can also enter a competition to win a place on BMW Tours’ incredible Return to the Arctic trip, worth £2,500, for which BMW Motorrad UK will provide the use of a touring or adventure motorcycle.

The new 2012 World of BMW Activity Brochure, packed with tours, activities, adventures and opportunities to both improve your skills and broaden your motorcycling horizons, will also be available to show-goers.

Visitors to the BMW Motorrad stand will also be able to see the 2012 Rider Equipment range, including the new TourShell textile suit and Start two-piece leather race suit, as well as a selection of casual wear from three exciting style collections for 2012: Heritage, Motorsport and Logo. Both Heritage and Motorsport are limited-edition ranges, so once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
