New for 2012! Bike presents MotoGymkhana
Bike’s presence at the London Motorcycle Show has grown hugely for 2012 with an exciting – and rather massive – area dedicated to riding slowly as fast as you can. Their bringing MotoGymkhana, the riding agility competition that’s huge in Japan, to ExCel, so you can meet the Bike team, and take part in MotoGymkhana, all included in the price of show entry. As well as providing all the kit, you can use ‘their’ bikes. They’ve tied up with electric bike manufacturer Quantya so you can ride their electric-powered motorcycles around the MotoGymkhana course.

MotoGymkhana challenges riders to tackle a series of cone-based obstacles in as fast a time as possible. If it sounds a bit like compulsory basic training, don’t worry as it’s far more like a CBT pumped full of amphetamines.

Get On! Life’s Better on two wheels at the Carole Nash MCN Motorcycle Show
If you’re thinking of getting on two wheels for the first time or have not ridden for a while and need a refresher, then come to the Get On stand and receive some free coaching. Get On’s aim is to encourage more people to enjoy the benefits of motorcycling and that’s why we’re offering a free taster session to all the MCN show visitors!

Within the 20 minutes practical session an experienced instructor will give you a safety briefing, introduce you to the controls of the motorbike or scooter at low speeds, teach you how to get rolling, change gear, stop safely, and eventually ride around a simple course. As well as each rider being kitted out with a helmet and all the essential gear, feedback is give about your riding and the chance to ask questions about further training, how to buy a motorcycle, or anything else you want to know.
‘Get On’ is brought to you by the leading motorcycle (includes motorbike, scooters and mopeds) manufacturers, dealers and other companies in the market, through the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA).

‘It’s good to be fast, fat and old’
17 wins may have cemented John McGuinness as one of the greatest TT riders ever, but in just a few days he’ll be well and truly out of his comfort zone. On Feb 2-5 he’ll be competing against Chris Walker, Ian Hutchinson, David Knight, Dougie Lampkin and Neil Hodgson on our Revolution extreme obstacles enduro challenge, sponsored by Michelin. The question is, will a lad from Lancashire ever find his way to the Excel arena?
Extreme antisocial behaviour at ExCeL!
By day he’s the mild-mannered 12-times World Trials Champion, but by night Dougie Lampkin roams the streets in pursuit of an ASBO. This should do it – breaking and entering the ExCeL London where in just a few days he’ll be racing David Knight, John McGuinness, Neil Hodgson, Ian Hutchinson and Chris Walker in our Revolution extreme obstacles enduro challenge, sponsored by Michelin. But will he get past the SAS-trained guard to do the pre-race research he craves?
