Prepare for hair-raising live flat track racing action as the biggest names in British biking battle it out on a thrilling indoor circuit.
Britain’s best-loved motorcycle racers will compete in ‘Live Action with Bridgestone’, a purpose-built indoor flat track circuit at the Devitt Insurance MCN London Motorcycle Show. Here’s a quick guide to some of the legends you’ll see fighting for victory in London:
Chris ‘Stalker’ Walker
Fan favourite Chris ‘Stalker’ Walker almost needs no introduction, as a former 500cc Grand Prix racer, and BSB and World Superbike race winner. But he’s most famous for the tantalising 2000 BSB title fight with Neil Hodgson. Walker finished runner-up in one of the most intense title fights ever after his engine expired in the final race of the season. Twenty-five years later, the age-old rivalry will reignite as the pair go head-to-head again at the Devitt Insurance MCN London Motorcycle Show!
Neil Hodgson
Starting in motocross, Hodgson soon switched to tarmac and in 1992, was crowned 125cc British Champion. The world stage followed, with two 500cc GP wild cards qualifying on the front row alongside Mick Doohan aged just 21! Hodgson was victorious in the epic 2000 British Superbike title battle against bitter rival Chris Walker, clinching it at the final round at Donington Park. Hodgson then went on to win the 2003 WorldSBK Championship which secured a move to MotoGP, where he continues to work as a TNT Sports pundit and commentator.
John McGuinness MBE
From becoming 250cc British Champion, to winning Daytona 200, racing in World Supersport and riding in the same 500cc British Grand Prix where Valentino Rossi took his very first premier class victory, John McGuinness has done it all. McGuinness is most famous for his Isle of Man TT heroics, with 111 TT starts, 23 wins and 47 podiums and counting to his name. In 2021, he was rightly awarded an MBE for his services to motorcycling.
Peter Hickman
Talking of TT stars, the fastest man ever around the island Peter Hickman will join in the flat track fun. Hickman became the fastest newcomer in his debut year in 2014 and took his first TT win in 2018. Then in 2023, he set the outright lap record with a mind-blowing 136.358mph!
Hickman’s not just a roads specialist, he’s been a stalwart of British Superbikes securing race wins and multiple podiums.
Lee Jackson
British Superbike veteran, twice race winner and 20-times podium finisher Lee Jackson is well-known for his consistency and race craft. With 229 starts, he’s also one of the championship’s most experienced riders.
A long-time Kawasaki rider, Jackson switched to Honda in 2024 and continues with the Japanese marque in 2025 riding alongside Josh Brookes with DAO Racing.
Tim Neave
FIM World Flat Track Championship title contender and former McAMS Yamaha BSB rider Tim Neave will also line up on the Excel grid.
Debuting in 2010, Tim won the Junior Flat Track championship immediately. In 2011 he graduated to the adult championship, and following a switch to tarmac in British Superstock and BSB, he now races in the World Flat Track Championship. He’s even raced the exclusive ‘100KM dei Campioni’ at Rossi’s ranch!
Jack Bell
Also bringing pro flat track experience will be multiple British Flat Track ‘Hooligan’ Champion and FIM Flat Track World Championship competitor Jack Bell.
Previously competing in Speedway, Bell started flat track racing at the age of 12. At 19, Bell became the youngest competitor to receive an invite to the Flat Track World Championship. He runs the iconic number 93 after visiting Marquez’s Training Camp in 2015 and 2016!
James Whitham
Twice British Superbike champion, WorldSBK and multiple World Supersport race winner James Whitham completes the grid for the ‘Live Action with Bridgestone’ mini-indoor flat track championship.
The BSB and WorldSBK Eurosport commentator is still exceptionally fast, running and instructing on his own James Whitham Track Days, so expect to see him battling at the front!
